MY DAD IS NOW 65 BLESS HIM
Hi my dad is called Fred Thomas he was born in castleford west yorkshire on may 21st 1943. He
worked most of his life down Sharlston pit near Wakefield he started when he was just 20 years old
and finished when the pit shut in 1993, he spent 30 years working at Sharlston. He was married to my
mum freda who sadly passed away 1st of july 2008 exactly 6 months and a day after dad died.mum and
dad have 3 daughters Julie, Deborah and Tracey also 2 step sons called edward and steve he had 3 son
in laws Ian, Mick and Ged and 2 daughter in laws helen and teresa he had 5 beautiful grandkids
Daniel, Ben, Rebecca, James and Chloe who he loved very much.And he also loved stephen and samantha.
My dad loved to socialise in the roundhill club where he was very well liked and had many friends.He
loved to have a bet on the horses . On january 30th 2008 we all got a very big shock when my dad
suddenly but peacefully died in bed, from that day on our lives changed forever, god bless you dad

i just wanted to put on a message of condolence on for your family and friends. I don,t know you or your family but your daughter Tracey lit a candle for my sister and i thought it was a lovely gesture from someone who doesn,t know me. We,ve all lost a loved one and the memories are a great help. I hope you all cope with the support you have and remember memories last forever.
